The position does not matter in early months of pregnancy. It is preferred to sleep either on left or right lateral position. But once you go to sleep, you have no control over the position. Sleeping on your back may compress the abdominal vena cavae. From ages that has not created much problem.

∙ 15y agoIf you are trying to get pregnant, then the idea is to keep the semen in the vagina for as long as possible, and to keep as much there as possible. The more semen, the more sperm cells. After the male orgasm, the female should keep her hips elevated and allow the semen to remain in the upper vagina and uterus.
