What is the difference of emo and gothic?

There's a lot of things different about them. We'll start with lifestyles. Emos are emotional, while goths find beauty in dark things. They dress differently, too. Emos tend to dress in dark hoodies, band or novelty t-shirts, skinny jeans (usually black or neon), and skate shoes (like Converse, Vans, sometimes DC), while goths dress in victorian style, whether it be corsets, lacy dresses, boots, etc. They will also sometimes where black skinny jeans and band t-shirts, but the bands the listen to are different, which brings me to the next topic, music differences. Emos listen to post- hardcore bands (today) such as The Used, Black Veil Brides, A Day to Remember, etc. An example of an actual emo band would be something like the Rites of Spring. Goths listen to music like The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, and Bauhaus. As you can see, these subcultures are both actually very different, and yet they can look similiar.

Well, Gothic is a way to really express your feelings, and there is something in your life that is bugging you SO much that you just lose your soul. (If you know what I mean.) Just because you see someone that is sitting all alone and you just judge them and all of the sudden think that they're gothic, so you think, well, because they're obviously gothic, they worship the Devil. But, No. That's not what gothic means. That's basicly what goth is, but that's not what im here to explain. I'm gothic in a way, so if I were you, I would go with what I say. But this is all my opinion. Ok, satanic is where you really do sort of worship the devil, (very similar to goth.) You think that you're pure Evil. And so do other people. So I think you get the point right?
