Jeff wanted to take some time out from Wrestling to heal his injuries. He had two herniated discs in his neck and spine area as a result of which he was in pain. So, when his contract was up for renewal he requested the WWE to take some time off to heal his injuries. He left the WWE in 2009. After a few months rest, he joined the TNA Wrestling in 2010 and is there ever since.
