Osmosis is a process. It does not contain anything. This process is triggered by the unequal concentrations of water, i.e. if a solution with high concentration of salt in it is bordered with a solution with low concentration of salt (if a solution is water it can be considered as 100% water solution, if it is, for example, 5% sugar solution, it can be considered as 95% water solution). So, water molecules move to the side with lower water concentration. Impertant: for only osmosis to happen, the wall between two solutions must be permeable only for water molecules. If it is also permeable for other substances they will also try to equalize their concentrations on the both side by move to the side where their concentration is less, and THIS IS CALLED diffusion.
Yes, it does.
Driving off the water from dilute sulfuric acid will increase the concentration of the acid to the point where it will contain virtually no water.
salt water conducts more electricity than fresh water because it contains great amounts of ions which can conduct a lot of electricity
Fresh water freezes at a higher temperature than Salt water. So Fresh Water doesn't have to lose as much heat in a given amount of time in order to Freeze.
fresh water
Concentration of salt.
Fresh water is water that does not contain any salt content. Oceans and some lakes contain salt. Fresh water sources include most creeks, streams, lakes, and rivers.
Salt water contain salt, fresh water is practically pure.
Fresh water from the Rocky Mountain snow melt.
it will die
the jordan rover contains fresh water
Water that you can drink
NO! There is fresh and non fresh water every were in the world. There is more fresh water in wet places than in dry places.
Yes, tap water is fresh, because it is drinkable and not salty. That is what is meant by fresh water.
Water that does not contain salt, and is not salt water.
Yes, Dam's are built to control inland bodies of water, hence their abilty to contain fresh water.
