Capulet says, "Content thee gentle coz, let him alone. He bears him like a portly gentleman and, to say truth, Verona brags of him to be a virtuous and well-govern'd youth. I would not for all the wealth of all the town here in my house do him disparagement. Therefore be patient. Take no note of him."
"Go to! You are a saucy boy!" He tells Tybalt to lay off Romeo who seems like a nice guy and who is causing no trouble. Tybalt (who is not really a Capulet at all--he's Mrs. Capulet's nephew) is more into the feud than Capulet himself.
He doesn't say anything to Romeo at the party.
He tells him to cool off and do no such thing.
