When USPS Priority mail says taking 3 days to deliver means sending Monday and receiving Wednesday or Thursday?

The USPS does not count as a "Day" the day the item is mailed, it begins counting the next day. Therefore, if one mails a package on a Monday, Tuesday would be Day 1, Wednesday Day 2, and Thursday Day 3.
