no its dead.........
If your fishes dorsoul(back fin) is down it usually means that your fish is sick. Most fish can live up to 3 months when sick. But some even longer. It all basically depends on what type of illness it has. In some cases it could be deppresion.
sick fish loose their color they swim less they hide they stay at the corner they stay at the top or bottom of the tank
because the fish may be sick and does not have the sternth to swim.
They will usually do this if they sense that a fish is sick or is dying. Usually they will try to eat it
depends what type of fish it is most of the time when a fish is on the bottom it means its sick or depressed but your fish is probably healthy
It's sick and/or dying.
he/she might have parasites
bettas are not sick when they lay on their side they sleep that way
I think your fish is pregnant because you said it is going to the bottom of the tank and that is a major sign. good luck and remember mabye!
A betta fish laying on its side at the bottom of the fishbowl could indicate illness or stress. It may be suffering from a swim bladder issue, which affects its buoyancy. Immediate attention from a vet or a specialist in fish care is recommended to diagnose and treat the problem.
if its a betta fish they will do that sometimes. if it is tired it will sleep at the bottom (just to make sure its sleeping and not dead, tap the glass gently to see if it moves a bit) but it will go back up to breathe since they do breathe air if its another fish maybe its sick or it might want to make some bubbles with its mouth.
What happens is the food rots in the tank. This rotting/decay creates gas (Ammonia) and that will poison the fish and burn its gills. This results first in sick fish and then death.
