Actually, the truck DOES decelerate, but its mass is so very much larger than the mass of the leaf, that the amount of deceleration is infinitesmal and too small to measure. Theoretically, at least, it is there.

What determines the change in direction of an object after it collides with another moving object?

the force or other moving object

Why do moving body accelerate?

Not all moving objects accelerate. In general, an object will accelerate if there is a net force acting on it. For a ball in the air, this might be gravitation + air resistance; for a moving car (once you turn the engine off) it might be the force of friction; etc.

When a moving bumper car collides with a bumper car at rest what will occur?

When a moving plate collides and is pushed under another plate?

When a moving plate collides and is pushed under another plate it is known as a subduction zone. Subduction zones are located at convergent bounties. The plate that is pushed beneath the other plate is then consumed in the asthenosphere.

What does not happen to a non moving object in equilibrium?

Why a falling falling object subjected to earth's gravity does not continue to accelerate forever?

A: because earths gravity cannot be harnessed forever unless the earth is moving with you. B: because earths gravity is not strong enough to pull you along unless you are in space as friction from air resistance will stop you.
