When a net force changes an object's motion the force is said to be an?

Wehn a force changes an objects motion work is done?

When the point of the application of the force gets displaced then work is said to be done by the force. Hence whether already the body was at rest or in motion and as the force is applied on the body and the point of application of the force is found to get displaced then certainly some energy would have been utilized to change the state of rest or of uniform motion and so work is done.

What are examples of forces and motion?

One is, if you kick a ball it rolls or flies. Kicking the ball puts your foot's force on the ball and when it leaves, it's in motion. Ice skating ia another example. Force is the agent which changes or tends to change the state of body. For example, the body covers distances or changes its position due to some external force applied on it. Hence it has been said that the force is agent which changes or tries to change the position of the body. Motion is said to be done if a body changes its position with respect to its surrounding. if we see a body moving, we will naturally say that this is in motion. The fact is that, we said that the body is in motion because we see it changing its position with respect to its surrounding.

What is the difference between motion and force?

Motion is associated with velocity, that it, the direction and speed with which the body is moving whereas force is the rate of change of momentum (which is the product of mass and velocity)

Define of motion?

a object is said to be motion if it position with respect it changes with time

What type of motion is it when an object travels around another?

When objects are bound gravitationally in centrifugal motion, the objects are said to be in orbit of each other.

What is motion and rest?

MOTION: A body is said to be in motion if it changes it's position with respect to it's surrounding. REST: A body is said to be in rest if it does not changes it's position with respect to it's surrounding.

When is an object said to in motion if it changes in time?

Pendulum

Conflicting ideas of Galileo and Aristotle about motion?

af Example: a hammer falls faster than a feather Galileo: Proved that an objects mass has no effect on its rate of acceleration as it falls. What causes things to fall at different rates here on earth is air resistance. Aristotle: Believed that heavier objects fall faster than lighter object af Example: a hammer falls faster than a feather Galileo: Proved that an objects mass has no effect on its rate of acceleration as it falls. What are the forces that result in no change in an objects. Motion?

Forces that are equal in magnitude, opposite in direction and acting on the same object will not create a change in said objects motion.

What is motion and no motion?

When an object changes its position with respect to time, then the body is said ti be in 'motion'. When the body is at rest, it is state of 'no motion'.

What is rest and motion with example?

Rest:a body is said to be at rest,if it does not change its position with repect to its surroundings.e.g;At rest A pumpkin will remain at rest unless an external force acts upon it, there are no external forces, so it doesn't move Motion:a body is said to be at motion ,if it changes its position with respect to its surroundings.e.g;motion of a pendlum, motion of riders in ferris wheel
