Bond formation is possible when the resulting entity has an energy less than the sum of individual energies of the constituents. That is, when a bond forms , we can immediately say that the particular system has become stabilized. For example, consider the reaction
A + B = AB
Here, E(AB) < E(A) + E(B).
If, the bond formed is covalent, it'll mean that now A and B are sharing electrons between them (1 pair or 2 pairs, etc).
If, the bond is ionic , it'll mean that one of A or B has transfered an electron to the other and now the duo is electrostatically bound.
With respect to chemical reactions, bond formation can produce a lot of changes :
-color change due to the property of the newly formed compound
-one may observe bubbles
-heating of the beaker/test tube (in case of exothermic reactions)
-pH change, etc
If you're interested in thermodynamics , it's worthwhile to know, that during the progress of a reaction (bond dissociation or formation, etc) the Gibb's free energy is bound to decrease. In fact, the direction of reaction is decided based on G (i.e, direction in which deltaG is -ve)
And, yes if a new bond forms in a chemical reaction, ne might even end up with an explosion .. (in case of highly exothermic reactions like combustion, etc)
Energy is released.
What do elements do in a reaction? A: The elements that are present form a chemical bond. This happens because of the fact that the elements that are present to form such combine together to make the chemical bond.
a reaction happens
Bond fission is the breaking of bonds in a chemical reaction. (Organic Chemistry)
Answer: A chemical bond is formed when two elements combine. They could form chemical bond via an ionic bond by exchange of electrons or by covalent bond i.e. by sharing electrons. When they are chemically bonded, a new substance is formed whose properties may or may not be similar to the constituent elements. For example :- H2 is a gas which burns and O2 is a gas which causes combustion but they combine to form water which extinguishes fire. Also, when a chemical bond is formed, some energy might be released to the surroundings showing the reaction is exothermic or some energy might be absorbed showing that it is an endothermic reaction. Also,a decrease in the concentration of reactants is observed and an increase in conc. of products is observed.
no chemical reaction takes place . when electrons are shared it is known as covalent bond
Chemical duhhh
energy is released
Energy and matter are both conserved during a chemical reaction, but the energy may change form, for example, from chemical potential energy to evolved heat. The matter also forms a new type of chemical bond and/or breaks an old type of chemical bond.

A chemical reaction/bond.
When a chemical bond forms, energy is absorbed between the atoms that bond. When a chemical bond is broken, energy is immediately and dramatically released.
There is a chemical reaction that occurs and energy is infused into a covalent bond.
The chemical reaction is the H2O bond with O2.
reactants and products and bond energy creates a chemical reaction
The ionic bond is formed during a chemical reaction.
a reaction happens
The potential energy is transformed to heat or light energy
