It never went into space. Because of a wire short, and high oxygen levels, the capsule containing three astronauts caught fire during testing. All aboard were killed. :(
A Capcom, or Capsule Communicator, is the person in NASA's Mission Control who is responsible for communicating with the astronauts aboard a ship in space.
Note: This is science fiction. The LOST TAPES episode "Alien" begins with: "The presence of hidden creatures is the subject of continued debate" ... "The following story is INSPIRED by the possibility of their existence"... It could happen...but it has not yet...that we know of... :)
The last lunar landing occurred in December, 1972. The Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, a non moon mission, where an American Apollo capsule docked with a Russion Soyuz Capsule, took place in 1975.
At launch yes, the Apollo 11 capsule/mission was launched on a Saturn V rocket.
The bottle of "fizzy stuff" (ginger ale) is on the table where the astronaut was giving his speech to the crowd. Once you visit Mission Control, you can get it, then take it to the astronaut in his space capsule atop the rocket. Unfortunately, he decides to skip the trip and locks you into the capsule.
