Is the name Tebow Italian?

The name Tebow is an anglicized [sic] version of the Flemish name Tibaut. The Tibauts came from what is today Bruges Belgium to the New Amsterdam Colony in the early 17th century. The name was anglicized to the present form (Tebow) sometime after the English coopted the colony in the later part of the same century. The French name Thibault is also a version of the original Frankish name.

How long did ancient Athenian soldiers serve?

The Greek military age was 18 to 60, all of whom were required to turn out in defence of their city. Generally, the age for expeditionary forces was 20 to 45. They were called out as required (and had to turn up with three days rations) and served until the battle or campaign was over, when they returned to their normal occupations, attending periodic training drills. This applied to people in the cavalry and hoplite (armoured warrior) classes. Those below this were coopted as required as light infantry with bows, javelins and rocks. Later, mercenaries progressively replaced the militias where a leader, city or confederation could afford to pay them.

Who owned most of the land that the huge USA railroads used?

It is difficult to say. The railroads exist by and large for quite some time before there encroachment into westward expansion. Prior to the American Civil War, there were about 34,000 miles of rail lines in the existing US, both North and South. The Northern states had a 3:1 advantage over the South in milage as well as engineers and industrial ability. The addition of the 1,907 mile section of the Transcontinental Railroad from 1863 to 1869 made the existing tracks almost 36,000 miles. Most of the existing track that was laid east of the Mississippi was set on existing roads or across private land that was coopted for the purpose. Private land owners, primarily whites, gave up this land for pennies on the dollar. On the Union Pacific side of the TCR, Dr. Thomas Clark "Doc" Durant owned most of the land chosen for the tracks to cross. What Durant didn't own, the various Native American tribes held as a matter of several hundred treaties made with the US government.
