When molecules of air are pushed together they form a high area of pressure which is called?

When molecules of air are pushed together, they form an area of high pressure which is called compression. If the compression is cyclonic, it is called a node.

When water molecules are moving closer together in the air it's called what?

This happens when the air cools. If the water particles get close enough to form liquid, the process is called condensation.

Why is there no such thing as sucking?

Because the "sucking" is actually pushing. For example. When there is an area of low pressure, air appears to get sucked into it, but actually it is being pushed by the air behind it. This is because air particles are in motion, and therefore posses energy. Some have more and some have less energy, but there is always a net. Most of this energy is kinetic energy, and the amount of particles dictate how many collisions there are between particles, and in the collisions particles move until they hit another particle. So, if there are less particles in the low pressure area to collide with, particles end up staying there longer than in the higher pressure area until equilibrium is reached. So, in effect the air particles are pushing other air particles to an area where they aren't being pushed.

What is air with few particles called?

a partial vacuum

Are particles in a balloon packed close together?

no, the air inside balloons is a gas and therefore the particles are moving quickly and are spread out, bouncing off the sides of the balloon. Particles in solids are packed close together.

How does a vibrating object create compressions?

Vibration pushes then pull on the particles of air around it. The area where the air particles are pushed together is called compression. An example is a stereo speaker.

What happens to the particles in object when they vibrate?

They cause the particles around them to be pushed together and then spread apart.

When air warms air particles move closer together?

No. When air cools air particles move closer together. When air warms air particles move father away from each other.
