- Condenser fan start
- Compressor start
Then inside the unit:
- The gas will be compressed into the condenser coil where it cools and becomes a liquid
- The liquid travels to a metering device, on some simple systems a orifice tube, on some more complex systems to an expansion valve
- The valve sprays the liquid into the evaporator where the liquid gets very cold by turning into gas.
- The gas then returns to the compressor.
