Twice a year, the days and nights are of equal length during the equinoxes. These occur around March 20 (the vernal equinox) and September 23 (the autumnal equinox). On these dates, the sun is positioned directly above the equator, resulting in approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness for most locations on Earth.
The lengths of days and nights in the desert are the same as with any area of the world at the same latitude. In the summer the nights are short while in the winter the nights are long. Over a year's period they average 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness per day.
Mostly days but some nurses will work some nights, wacthing over patients while they sleep, accident and emergancy hospitals, etc.
It has to be. If you're moving from longer days and shorter nights over to shorter days and longer nights (or the other way around), there has to be one day where they are equal. It's just mathematical truth.
This shift in daylight and darkness is due to the Earth's axial tilt as it revolves around the sun. During the winter months, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, leading to shorter days and longer nights.
its about 1500 miles, three days and two nights if you stop over or quicker if you do not
