sea turtles are dimural
Mud turtles are Semi-Aquatic turtles. Even though they spend much more of their time in the water compared to Sliders, Painted and Map turtles, they do come out on land to bask or to travel to a new area.
Turtles are adapted to an aquatic life, spending almost all their life at sea. They only come to land to lay their eggs - which need to be laid out of water so they can develop.
A land turtle needs water to drink, but not to swim in. Aquatic turtles live in the water, but they need to come out of the water several times a day to dry off their shells. If they don't, the shell will grow fungus and mold and will become infected.
Yes manatees are mammals which means they breathe air
Aquatic comes from 'aqua' the Latin term for water.
Yes but sea turtles don't come out of the water like most turtles
Absolutely NOT.
No. Turtles do not have gills so they have to come to the surface of the water to breathe.
It comes from the air. The CO2 in the air dissolves in the water and is then avilalbe to aquatic plants.
Red Eared Sliders are aquatic turtles. They generally spend their time in a pond like environment, and come up to bask in the sun.Image search "red eared slider" to find out. They are very unique looking and very easy to tell what kind of turtle they are. Then, return them wherever you got them. You obviously shouldn't be owning turtles.
long neck turtles are water turtles and will rarely come up on land for any reason especially when their ready to have their Babbie's.
