When they are 12 weeks of age. A responsible breeder will not give up his or her puppies until they are 12 weeks old. When they reach that age, they will no longer have to feed from their mother.
Puppies have to be atleast 1 month old before they leave their mother.
6 to 8 weeks old
Yes, they will take care of their puppies on there own. If you take care of one of their puppies it will be like if you raised them yourself and the mom will think the puppies are nothing she will proabbly not want them anymore
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I know that a dog replacement milk is a milk that can be use to give to puppies when the mom can't produce enough milk or when the mom is no longer alive. Puppies are not allowed to drink milk except for this milk.
The first few days after leaving mom they do but then they forget really fast.
yes because they get bt not always
It really depends on it's parent's. My Shih-Tzu weighs about 12 pounds, but her mom weighed 9 and her dad weighs 14. They usually stay in a range of 8-18 pounds, unless they are under- or over-weight.

puppies do lick their mom
Good question. I went through this about 3 years ago. I always wanted a dog, and I researched what breed I wanted. I ended up writing a couple of paragraphs about why I wanted a Shih Tzu and how I would take care of it etc. But, don't bug her about it. Keep it on the down low and make sure you're extra sweet and help around the house. Nothing is better then the love of a dog. Good luck!
No. Female dogs go through heat twice a year and the puppies only need there mother for four months before they can leave her. So no it does not
Normally about 63 days. However one can go over a few days if carrying a smaller litter. Hope this helps. A good idea would be to seek a vet and request an x ray. Usually about 52-55 days. The x ray will give u a rough idea of when ur expecting a litter.
6 weeks old if its eating puppy food if not 8 weeks old
Puppies are the young of dogs. They are helpless and need care from their mom.
Can they - yes, but puppies should stay with mom and the litter until 8 weeks of age. Usually as they start on solid foods, mom comes around less and less but it is important to allow them the full 8 weeks or longer to be together. This is a critical learning stage for the puppies to develop dog social skills that will aid them later in life. It is a proven fact that puppies taken earlier have a higher percentage of developing behaviorial issues as they grow up.
