A weak base could be more corrosive than a strong base if the strong base was in a very dilute solution or if the weak base was extremely concentrated.

What is the strong base and a weak base?

a strong base produces more ions in solution than a weak base-apex

Is potassium hydroxide a strong or weak base?

yes, almost total dissociation in water, the more OH negative hydroxide ions in solution, the more basic the solution is.

What happens when the pH solution is lower?

When adding a strong acid to an acidic solution pH decreases. Adding a strong base to an acidic solution the pH increases.

Is reactive with metals an acid or a base?

Acid. Its more corrosive. Base is in our soaps etc.

Higher the number on the pH scale the more acidic a solution?

The solution is basic.

What is a corrosive substance with a pH more than 7.0?

It's called a base.

What happens with a stong acid is added to a base?

The acid and base will neutralize each other and the resulting solution will be more neutral. If the base being neutralized is strong, the resulting salt will be neutral. If the base is weak the resulting salt will be acidic. A solution of such a salt may be called a buffer.

Is a solution with the pH of 10.1weak or strong?

A pH of 10.1 is fairly highly basic, more so than anything found in most natural environments. But such as pH can be cause by both a weak base or strong base depending on the concentration.

NaCl salt solution containing dissolved oxygen will be more corrosive than air free salt solution?

In what solution has the salt been dissolve? Sodium Chloride salt diluted in water which contained the soluble oxygen gas is not that corrosive, it is salted water, yeah like the sea,

How acidic is hydrochloric acid?

Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid, which means it dissociates completely in solution. You can not be more ' acidic ' than that. Just because an acid ionizes completely doesn't really say how acidic a solution of HCl will be. HCl is defined as a strong acid because it ionizes completely. However, if its diluted enough one can drink it just like vinegar (about a 5% solution of acetic acid). Of course one could dilute it enough to make it so the solution is pretty much no more acidic than pure water. The original answer was probably answering what was the intent of the question, whether HCl is a strong or weak acid.
