It depends completely on how well you can put on makeup with your unaffected arm. If you can only manage to complete the task with the arm that you are having surgery on, it will be at least two weeks until you can manage to lift your arm high enough to apply any makeup. Another option is, after about a week, you might be able to manage applying mascara or something by simply moving your head down to about your elbow, so that you don't have to physically move your shoulder up very much. I've already had two surgeries & had to manage somehow within a week after having surgery going to school, so obviously wearing makeup right away. Hope this helped!
