it all depends on what breed and how intelligent your dog is. say if it was a lab then its brain would develope faster then a terior. a dog can start learning at a very young age infact it starts learning as soon as it is born as it has lots of strange new smells to take in. if you wanted to start to teach it things like sit and stay then i would wait until it has been house trained.
It depends on your definition of tricks, a puppy can be taught pretty early. ( Bichon- Frise00 improvement) Actually I think they could be taught when they are at least 3months (not sure about 3 months maybe 4 or 5)
It depends how much patience and motivation you have. People say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but I completely disagree! My dog came off the streets and into my home when he was 6 years old and only new 'sit' my family and I taught him so much more very quickly and easily! :)
When ever you feel and the puppy is ready to do tricks teach it
It would take a very long time to learn all of the Unix commands, and frankly, that isn't necessary. Most Unix users have a subset of commands they use all the time, and that is how they learn them.
Less than 2 hours for a young puppy days for an older puppy.
about 5 days - 2 weeks
it is recommended that the puppy stays with its mother for up to 8 weeks, and the longer they stay with their mother and littermates the better behavior they will have as the grow older. they learn a lot of things from their littermates that are essential to having a healthy dog.
As long as the two dogs have 3 hearts, and they are very happy when together, they can have a puppy.
It depends on the dog and the dogs age. For example a puppy might not learn as fast as a 2 year old dog it also depends on how long you train it.
Yes, so long as the older Lab is okay with it. The older Lab may dislike being trampled on. They should both have enough space to comfortably lay down.
they shouldn't be in cages buy him/her a bed. it isn't safe for a dog/puppy to be sleeping in a cage the paws can get ruined or if it stays in there long enough when it gets older it can attack you it happened to me
It will take at least 4-6 weeks for a dog to learn new commands. If you have said alot of tricks to the dog it may get confused though.
Well, when my golden retriever was 2 years old, I bought a miniature pinscher puppy. From what I noticed, the best way to introduce them is by holding the puppy in your arms and slowly allowing the older dog to sniff the puppy, but don't rush it or the puppy will get scared. Also, have someone standing behind the older dog in case he attacks or something, if your dog is temperamental. As long as you take it slow, there (hopefully) shouldn't be a problem :)
You can change a puppy's name regardless of where you get him. However, if he is a purebred puppy his registered name cannot be changed once he is registered and only the puppy's breeder can do that.Very few dogs are addressed by their registered names which are long. They usually have every day names that might be related to their registered name or might not.now you keep saying the name that you want the puppy to have eventually the puppy will learn the name and will answer to it.
my dog had a puppy and hasn't had a second one yet so how long does it take for A SECOND PUPPY TO BE BORN
