When can you touch your hamsters baby?

About the time you first begin to see fur on them, don't handle them , but touching is fine, if you want to take them out and handle them, i would wait until they are covered in fur.

Answeri handled my baby mice when they had no fur but it was only because the cage needed to be cleaned so refrain from touching them until they have fur.

Its not smart to handle baby mice because the mother will not like the scent of you on her babies, so she might stop feeding them or even KILL them.

Hamsters are quite notorious for infanticide, therefore a mother disturbed will either eat her pups or attempt to stuff them in her cheek pouches, neither of which is desirable. * I would wait until hair has grown on your hamster. Don't touch them until then, and then only if they appear lost to return them to their mother (they make tiny squeaky noises when searching for her). * The age you can handle the babies without the mother rejecting them is approximately 15 days. I had 5 new born baby hamsters do not touch them until there eyes are open and walking by there self and eat by there self and most important is not sleeping under there mom i dont know how long its going to take for all that stuff do not bother the mom unless you want the babes to die.
