Never!!!
Not keeping oil in it, not changing the oil and filter, not servicing the timing belt when it needs it, running it without coolant.
Should be off for oil, on for transmission fluid check.
Oil sputter is going to be a normal thing if the oil cap is not on while the engine is running. The engine should never be run with the oil cap open. The engine actually has less compression when the oil cap is open, and this could hurt the engine.
You should since it increases longevity just like changing engine oil does for the engine.
I change mine every 5,000 kms. or 3,000 miles. Keeps the engine running great. The oil heats up quite a bit in the summer, so changing it will keep the engine running clean for a long time. Have you changed the stator yet? If not check it out with me on my message board.
Can't ever go wrong changing the oil and the oil filter every 3,000 miles. It will keep your engine happier and running longer.
Add Engine Flush to the motor oil at running temperature before changing the oil. After adding the product, allow the engine to idle for approx. 10 minutes. Then change the oil and the filter. Engine Flush is compatible with all commercially available motor oils. We recommend cleaning the engine interior with Engine Flush before every oil change.
there should be a dip stick the middle of the headers, oil is be at least at the second dot on the dip stick. if oil is dark brown u need to change oil if its not really dark brown u should be good. changing oil between 3000-5000 miles is recommended to keep the engine running for a longer life
Engine running rich. Get this fixed ASAP and do not drive until you do. Serious damage will occur to the engine. If you have electronic fuel ignition and you pump your gas pedal before starting, this can add un-burned fuel to your engine oil.
to lubracate engine when running.
Oil changers are the actual people who change your cars oil. You need an oil change to keep your car engine running well. They also sell oil changing kits for people who want to change their own oil.
If its anything like my 1996 1200 it should take three qts for the engine and one qt for the primary.
