In the summer of 1941. (The Germans won that campaign.)
to get freedom Australia had to go to a war because people from other countries are destroying Australia.
Gallipoli, in Turkey, Eastern Mediterranean.
Your question doesn't make sense, but most men in Australia during world war two fought in the war. Some that didn't go help support the war
No, the opposite we were allies with Poland. When Hitler first invaded Poland, Australia along with Britain and New Zealand immediately responded by declaring war on Germany.
No, but they chose to support the British (and, most Australians are of British descent).
well yes and no. Australia was still a colony of Britain so they couldn't declare war but there were battles in the pacific in order to protect Australia and there were Australians at D-Day. So even though they didn't go to war Australians were fighting in the British Army, Navy, etc.
"Go, go, go to Crete" is the overture to an operetta called "La Belle Helene" by Jacques Offenbach
because they were told to..
Yes, war does affect Australia. Australia is part of the British Commonwealth (of nations) and whatever Britain takes part in, Australia is automatically signed up for. It's part of the treaty - for an example World War One - Australians had to go to war, even if they played no part in bringing it on, but because of Britain's orders. Then World War Two - Australians were not eager to become involved due to the destruction and grief that happened in World War One. but once again had to take part, because Australia was (and still is) part of the Commonwealth. Australia can and does also become involved in other actions, and apart from its actual and direct involvement in war is also affected in many ways, as are all countries, by wars in which Australia has no active participation. The human cost of all war affects everybody on Earth.
The New Zealand Land Wars The Australian Revolution The Boer War WW1 WW2 The Korean War The Vietnam War The Afghanistan War The Iraq War There are several smaller conflicts and peace keeping missions Australia has been involved in as well.
