Given his actions and plans he made, never.
US troops were gradually removed as the US atttempted to prop up the lawful government. All the Americans left by December 18,2011. Iraq is still struggling to maintain a stable government. Insurgents constantly make attacks with guns and bombs.
Obama claims he planned to withdraw the troops from Iraq over 18 months.
Moving forward with a responsible drawdown of our combat forces, transferring security to Iraq's forces. And then move to Afghanistan.
There are 68,000 troops in Afghanistanhttp://www.kansascity.com/news/breaking_news/story/1540978.html
The reason for the troops in IraqPresident Bush wants troops in Iraq to help the Iraquis get their government to become a government, train the Iraqi army and the police to defend the country and to rid the country of insurgents. By helping Iraq to become a real country, it will become one less staging area for terrorists to launch attacks on people and societies, like the U.S., that the terrorists want to kill. By helping the Iraqi people, the U.S. is, hopefully, protecting itself from future attacks by the terrorists.-----Iraq was not considered a state sponsor of terrorism prior to our first invasion--the first American gulf war. In fact, we sold Hussein many of the weapons he used during his long war with Iran--a war we encouraged and supported (on both sides). When Saddam invaded Kuwait, we repelled his army. President Bush began planning the invasion of Iraq long before 9/11, which served as a useful pretext for unprovoked war. How many of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqis? How many Iraqis were materially involved in 9/11? The answer is: Zero. President Bush wants troops in Iraq because it is a useful area for American military bases to protect oil shipments to the United States. There was never any reliable evidence Iraq intended to harm the US. The Iraq war and occupation is for American economic interests. I don't want to get political here, we just want to stick with the plain and simple facts. The US was able to sustain its economy through seven years of massive war deficits.
Yes and no. When he became president in 2008, the US was still at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, two wars begun under President Bush. One of Mr. Obama's campaign promises was to end US involvement in Iraq and bring most of the troops home, a promise that he kept. However, the US is still involved in Afghanistan, although there is a plan in place to end involvement there in 2014.
The war in Iraq is horrible i mean protecting our country is one thing but going in without the thought of a plan B was real dumb of us americans. OR of the Congress i dont like Presidant BUSH but the congress said yes.
Hitler is not like Bush. Hitler wanted to eradicate people who were 'imperfect', even his own people. Bush simply gave the order to invade Iraq because it was the only way to prevent mass terrorism. Peaceful solutions are PREFERRED, but sometimes lethal force is necessary. Bush understood this. Here is the answer a liberal will give you, though: "because bush's plan was like Hitler world domination but like Hitler again we stopped him when he invaded Iraq which makes him as bad as Stalin and Hitler alike"
I have never, nor do I plan to, invaded Iraq.
The plan to facilitate the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam by training Vietnamese forces was known as "Vietnamization." Initiated by President Richard Nixon in the late 1960s, Vietnamization aimed to build up the South Vietnamese military's capabilities so they could take over the combat role from American troops, allowing for a gradual withdrawal of U.S. forces from the conflict.

The fight is about oil/the us wanted to privatized oil and othergovernment assets but the oil com. Did not follow behind like planed which caused lower prices there for lower profits. The first plan was to weaken the cooperation of opec cartel ruined by Venezuela. Now in Iraq there is a plan formed by the government 'operation enduring freedom' to turn them in to a democratic society like the united states. You could say the fight in Iraq is about oil but that is not entirely true. The US government (George Bush) used the excuse of going to find weapons of mass destruction in order to invade Iraq. That is not the only reason though. We also invaded Iraq to try create peace in that area and stop terriosism in our country i think.
