The Chechnya!
Chechnya
Many, but the most prevalent are the Chechens from Chechnya.
This requires a fairly long explanation. But, here are the highlights: After Boris Yeltsin allowed the collapse of the Soviet Union the Soviet Republics declared their independence. But, Chechnya was not considered a Soviet Republic. Rather it was a part of the Russian Federation of republics. But, they hated Russia and declared their independence too. Yeltsin feared the secession of Chechnya would prompt a me-too of independence movements within the vast Russian Federation. In addition he hoped to recover Chechnya's valuable oil resources.
Chechnya is one place. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Chechnya has tried for independence from Russia even after much violence.
The primary goal of Chechnya's revolutionary group is to gain independence for the Russian Federation.
Chechnya briefly gained a de facto independence from Russia between 1991 and 1999, although it was never formally recognized by the world powers. Following two wars in 1994-1995 and 1999-2000, it is now back as part of the Russian Federation.
Chechnya won virtual independence from Russia in 1996 after a two-year war and declared the region an Islamic republic.
Chechnya was a part of the Soviet Union as an autonomous region within the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Chechnya declared independence and went through two devastating wars with Russia before being reintegrated as a subject of the Russian Federation.

Chechnya was created in 1991.
Chechnya is an Autonomous Republic of the Russian Federation and it wants complete independence from Russia. Russia does not want to give them independence because, amongst other things, Chechnya is geographically in the path of a major oil pipeline to the south which is economically important to Russia. Chechnya could probably not stand in the international community because it does not produce anything. The Russian Mafia is said to consist predominantly of Chechnyans. One of Chechnyas neighbours, Dagestan, has similar objectives but has not been so militant about it. Both Chechnya and Dagestan are predominantly Muslim which is a further problem they have with non-Muslim Russia.
