Engine Down ended in 2005.
In a housing that attaches to the water pump at the rear of the engine. Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine. The stat is in the water outlet. AT THE END OF THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE ( ENGINE END)
drop your engine down as far as you can, get numerous extentions and connect together with a swivel head on the end.

They are located down newr the bottom of the engine. One end of the plug is behind the engine close to the frame near the windshieldx. Then just follow the wire and you will findx them.

Blow by is caused from the piston rings being weak or worn, also cylinder may be worn and out of round, allowing compression to leak down into the lower end of the engine, pressurizing it to the point that oil and smoke can be seen where it escapes the engine

In most vehicles there is a dipstick located midway down the engine block. This generally has an obvious rolled end, which you pull out to check oil level. This is the 'dipstick'. There is also on for the transmission, often a different colour on the end. Do not mistake them. Transmission fluid is generally a reddish colour.
