The attacks of the other people who wanted their money
The decline of Ghana's empire was primarily due to two main reasons: the depletion of natural resources, particularly gold, which undermined its economic foundation, and the rising power of neighboring states, such as the Mali Empire, which challenged Ghana's dominance. Additionally, increased pressure from invading groups, including the Almoravids, contributed to political instability and military decline. These factors collectively weakened Ghana's influence and led to its eventual collapse.
Near the end of the thirteenth century, the Ghana Empire experienced a decline due to internal strife and external pressures. This decline allowed the rising Mali Empire, led by figures such as Sundiata Keita, to take over and expand its influence in the region. The Mali Empire capitalized on Ghana's weakened state, ultimately leading to the annexation of its territories and the control of trade routes in West Africa.
Ghana's decline was by invasion, overgrazing, and internal rebellion. The Almoravids a group of invaders caused the first and second one. The last one was caused by the villages that Ghana controlled.

The decline of the Ghana Empire was significantly influenced by a prolonged drought that affected agricultural productivity and water supply in the region. This natural disaster led to food shortages, weakened the economy, and caused social unrest among the population. As resources became scarce, the empire struggled to maintain its power and stability, making it vulnerable to external pressures and invasions from neighboring groups. Ultimately, these factors contributed to the empire's decline.
