I believe you are referring to Benjamin Franklin. ;)He was born on January 17, 1706, wrote Poor Richard's Almanac and helped start the Philadelphia Gazette. He is also credited for an amazing number of inventions.He also flew a kite during a thunderstorm and the outcome was that he proved that lightning is essentially electricity.
