James Cleveland, ka Jesse, Owens [September 12, 1913-March 31, 1980] worked to help his family get through the harsh living conditions in the rough Glenville section of Cleveland, Ohio. He took up running to take his mind off the stress of trying to get through school, at the same time that he was trying to earn money by delivering groceries, loading freight cars, and working in a shoe repair shop. He knew that this was a commitment that he could carry out, because of the support of Charles Riley. Riley was the track coach at Fairview Junior High School. He believed in Owens' potential. So Riley made Owens a member of the track team. The team practiced after school, when Owens had to work. So Riley approved Owens' practicing before school. It was the combination of Owens' own drive, and of Riley's guidance, that made the future winner of four Olympic gold medals start to run, and keep at it.

1) Where do caterpillar wasps lay their eggs? 1) Where do caterpillar wasps lay their eggs? Caterpillar wasps lay their eggs on the inside of caterpillars. when a caterpillar takes a bite out of the leaf, the plants lets off a smell or signal to tell any caterpillar wasps nearby that a caterpillar is on them. the wasp then injects its eggs into the caterpillar, the eggs grow and eats the caterpillar, then once the caterpillar is dead, the wasps grow up and fly out to start the process again.
