There was no cruci-fiction. There was no Jesus that died for our sins. To have Jesus, the story of the talking snake giving a girl a magic apple must be true. Do you really believe God would curse humanity and all of creation over a piece of produce? Do you really believe God would curse a little girl and boy with death who made their first mistake?

The first flaw in the above thinking is making the presumption that your outlook and rationale is the same as God. If you don't believe God would curse a little boy and girl with death for making their first mistake, then maybe you should embrace your own mortality. Why are you growing old? Why does everybody die. This curse you infer to was the loss of immortality. There was no spanking, no slapping sense into anybody, and no boring lecture, and nobody was struck down dead at the moment. There was a rule that was broken and a consequense. That consequence has passed summarily to all descendants since then, represented today by your "all humanity" as well as all other living things. It's not that far fetched to comprehend that the two "protypical units" would pass these characteristics down. Had the original terms of engagement been honored by the original participants, those two would still be the sole habitants of paradise. Fashioned in God's own image, each was also given a brain and decision making ability. Apparently the risk of failure in the original endeavour was a calculated possibility. Unless this thing was to be a total "write off", the loss of immortality (also apparently) required implementation of "Plan B" which we know as procreation. Hardware for carrying out the procedures came preinstalled, as part of the contingency plan. There was simply no awareness or desire (or need) to use the equipment. A little fruit of knowledge would change all that. And here we are today as a result. Your curse, as you refer to it, is life as we know it. The story completely holds water to explain things as they we know them. It's said that science is closing in on a "cure" for the aging process. The most compelling observation from those on the project is that there is no reason or purpose for aging to occur. We (some) develop a perfectly good body only to age and degrade "naturally". Explanations, by anybody that thinks they understand what's happening in the aging process, are weak and make an otherwise intelligent person sound stupid. Occasionally an authority on the topic will confess they simply don't know why it happens. Some simply accept life and death as the logical counterpart to our ability to reproduce. While that might serve as a conclusion, it doesn't explain anything. Science may someday discover the gene or enzyme or DNA something that causes aging...and they may find a way to manuplate it. If I'm not here when that happens, I need you to do me a favor. Ask them why that gene, or whatever it is, is there. What is the purpose of it...besides to do it's job and kill you (eventually)? Trust me on this- the silence will be deafening. There will be no explained reason for that "gene" to be there. Sooner or later you have to resign yourself that there is no other rationalization. Critical thinking takes you there. There is no other explanation because nothing else explains it.
