While they are gone, Chandler enters the apartment and sits in the now broken chair. Thinking he broke it, he switches the chairs with his chair. Joey now thinks that his broken chair has healed itself and Rachel takes the new chair that she just bought. But Joey is jealous and breaks his "old" chair. Thus he broke Chandler's chair.
