It seems rather incredible that the Vikings could successfully settle Greenland and not succeed in Vinland. The historical reason, however, is that it was due to hostilities between the Vikings and the local Eskimo (Inuit) population. Apparently the Vikings raided an Eskimo village while the men were away and killed all the women and children. Open hostilities were then ongoing.

Where did the Vikings actually land in Canada?

the vikings did not originate in Canada. they are said to have originated in the Sweden- Iceland area. They did immigrate to Canada, though. Bjarni Herjolfsson was said to be the first Icelandic viking to land in Canada, but he isn't the official one. He was on his way to Greenland but lost his way, landing in Labrador or Baffin Island in Canada.A small settlement was discovered in Canada, and it it theorized that it was inhabited by a people of Viking-Eskimo extraction before being abandoned in the Middle Ages.Leif Ericson was born in Iceland, but moved to Greenland in 986. That same year Bjarni Herjolfson, who was following Ericson to Greenland, missed the island and sailed in a south-westerly direction and sighted both the Labrador coast and Newfoundland. And so hearing of Bjarni Herjolfson's adventures, Leif Ericson led the first voyage the North America around 1000 A.D.

Does this title make sense 'Into the Voyage' you are writing for your English essay?

There is not a problem with saying 'in to the sea', 'sea' being a noun, but saying 'in to the voyage', even though 'voyage' is also a noun, does not make sense. The reason for this is that the sea is something of substance, into which we can go, whilst a voyage, being temporal, is not, and so we can't, in that sense, go in to it, You could, of course, make a case for a metaphysical 'Into The Voyage'. 'On With The Voyage' or 'The Voyage Begins' might be better.
