she found it in the mid 19th century and her family was very poor they lived in Lyme Regis on the south coast of the U.K
I'm not sure if Mary Anning had a middle name. If you find out she did post it!!!!! :OP
The question is a bit vague because it can be interpreted two different ways. Who found the first bird fossil ... (as in the very first bird that ever evolved). ... is an ongoing process since there have been recent discoveries of earlier dinosaur birds that the first found. A more accurate question would be who was the first person to find a bird fossil. In which case that wouldn't be the whole bird but just one feather. Which would be... Christian Erich Hermann von Meyer found in c.1860. For 150 years, a species called Archaeopteryx has been regarded as the first true bird, representing a major evolutionary step away from dinosaurs.
You receive it at the beginning of the game after you revive your first fossil. That first fossil is Tricera.
Dr. Mary Leaky found the australopithecus footprint in Africa
Mary Anning found the icthyosaur on the cliffs of Lyme Regis off the coast of England when she was about 12 years old. her dog tray found it and she discovered that it was the full skeleton. Lyme Regis's cliffs are made of clay that encased and preserved the bone structure of the animals. i am researching her right now so this is really true- until someone changes it.
Mary anning had as many as ten siblings but only her and her brother Joseph lived to adulthood. her oldest sister was also named Mary but then she died cause her clothes caught on fire... her second oldest sister was named Martha and she died almost at once but then she died later on because she was weak and ill... Joseph was third who was born in 1796... forth was Henry who died in infancy... shortly after Mary's death the Mary anning (fossil hunter) was born and named after her oldest sister... next was another Henry who was born in 1801... next born was percival in 1803... next elizabeth was born in 1804... and Richard was born last in 1809... this took me a long time to find so be thankful i did... :)
The person to find the first stegosaurus fossil was M.P. Felch
