Miriam was born in Egypt, but she mainly lived in the wilderness as she fled with her brother and community. She died in Kadesh, while still traveling.
Miriam lived more than two thirds of her life in Egypt, since she was 87 at the time of the Exodus and died in the wilderness (Numbers ch.20) at the age of 126.
