To buy it by yourself, you have to be 17, but if you parents allow you to play that kind of stuff, they might buy the game for you.

You don't need a certain age 2 play im 15 and play the all summer :)

To Play Modern Warfare online you need an account opened & signed on by someone who entered a date of birth old enough to purchase the game. Even if you have permission to play at 15 the account needs to set up for someone older and meeting the age requirements.
