In the Bible, naturally. Specifically, in the gospels, Matthew chapter 3 and a fanciful story about John the Baptist's angelic annunciation in Luke chapter 1. John the Baptist also suffers an ignominious end as described by a well-known story in Matthew 14/Mark 6. If you are looking for a "biography" in our current sense of the word, you won't find one, largely because there is no other "historical" information about this person outside of the New Testament.
