As far as I can remember, it had to be the late 70's or early 80's. I used to swim there as a kid.
Swimming in a chlorinated swimming pool would not be a problem. However, if it is a lake or untreated pool, I would wait at least 24 hours for the injection site to close before letting them go in the water to be safest.

It is also good if you like to swim alone, and not with other people. A lake is better if you are really close to a lake and do not mind swimming with other people.

In my experience, lakes are natural bodies of water. But there is no legal reason known to me why a swimming pool should not have 'lake' in its name.
