Ancient Greece was never a country. It was comprised of hundreds of independent city-states spread around the Mediterranean and Black Seas.
Classical Ancient Greece was in 500 BC and ancient Greece was in south Europe. There it was very mountainous and the most well known was mount Olympus. The Ancient Greeks believed in Gods and Goddesses. They also started the Olympic games. The past in the modern days is mainly thanks to Ancient Greece. The country you should respect as well as your own is Ancient Greece because they are the modern day past.
