Seersucker suits and jackets have not gone out of style. They are offered in the most discriminating men's clothing stores such as Brooks Brothers and F. Rees (Mt. Airy, NC).
Yes, seersucker suits appear in "The Sound of Music." The character Captain Georg von Trapp, played by Christopher Plummer, is seen wearing a light-colored seersucker suit during the film. The fabric's distinctive texture and summer-friendly design reflect the film's setting in the scenic Austrian landscape. Seersucker suits contribute to the film's overall aesthetic, embodying a sense of style appropriate for the era.
The number of suits that John F. Kennedy owned is not known. However, he preferred seersucker single breasted suits. He had a personal tailor while in the White House.
Seersucker Thursday was created in 1996.
Seersucker is a thin, puckered, all-cotton fabric, usually striped or checkered. Because it's puckered, it gives it a slightly (purposefully) wrinkled appearance, which means that ironing it isn't necessary. It's typically used to make spring or summer clothing, such as skirts, shorts, and dresses.
Absolutely. Provided that the seersucker creates an aesthetically pleasing combination with the linen. I would recommend standard seersucker (light blue and white) with a white or tan linen.
Southern gentlemen in the past typically wore suits made of light, breathable fabrics such as seersucker or linen to combat the heat. They also often wore bow ties, pocket squares, and straw hats to complete their attire. These clothing choices reflected their sense of style and sophistication.

I am not completely sure what style bathing suits are in this season. I have done some research and found videos and guides that might help you about it.
Calcutta cloth is not typically crinkly like seersucker. While seersucker is known for its puckered texture, created through a specific weaving technique, Calcutta cloth usually has a smoother finish. However, some variations of Calcutta cloth can have a slight texture, but it generally lacks the pronounced crinkles seen in seersucker.
If you're above 29 degrees North Latitude then Labor Day in September is traditionally the last day you would wear seersucker. Below that line you can wear year round but in the us this is only South Florida.
Long hair style suits on red use
I really wouldn't. seersucker is surprisingly "dressy", especially in the south (except shorts). I wouldn't wear a seersucker jacket with anything except the accompanying pants. Yes, any summer weight pants work with seersucker such as linen, cotton or tropical weight wool. Only men over the age of 55+ wear the accompanying seersucker pants. A more youthful and modern approach is to wear different pants with the jacket. I am a NYC fashion Designer so you can trust my advice.
