What is the whole story to shugo chara?
Shugo chara is an anime about a girl in 5th-6th grade named Hinamori Amu. She has 4 shugo charas, Ran, Miki, Suu, and Dia. (There is a rumor about a cross but that isn't true) Amu and her guardian friends (Amu is the joker) have to find the Embryo. (For some reason)But, Easter is also trying to find the Embryo. Amu has to stop Easter and fix X eggs to find the embryo. At the end of the series there is a 3rd season called Shugo chara Party but it isn't from the manga. In the manga there is Shugo chara encore. I guess that shugo chara party is a very bad replacement of the encore. :) I hope it helps!

Those chara-eggs(character-eggs) are Amu's different characters.Everyone has his/her own character but to have an egg in everyone's heart it's just a theory. yes they do exist defiantly in the fact that everyone has someone they want to be. Maybe the Characters themselves do exist in real life? I guess it depends on weather you have an open mind or not. If they do exist I don't think most people would have them because they are too afraid to believe.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------BUT, if we had a manga and we had in the world a real manga people creator machine or something like that, we could then make the shugo chara's characters in REAL LIFE!!!
