∙ 14y agoIt arose in the 1800s after the civil war.It was supposed to be used as a group to help the soldiers that did not have homes after Sherman's march through georgia.But it was supposed to help them then it turned into a harassment of blacks to stop them from voting there were many lynchings,cross burnings etc just to scare blacks from voting! this was wrtten by a black!
