This may not be what you expected, but it is the answer to what you asked.

1. The Korean War was not a war, it was a United Nations Police action.

2. IT HAS NOT ENDED! A cease fire was signed on 27 July 1953. That did not decide the issue to anybody's satisfaction. There was no surrender, and no Peace Treaty. And by the way, they still shoot at each other occasionally, so even the Cease Fire is tenuous.
