Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair were introduced with the game itself, and were the first level 60 raid instances available. This means they have been around since early 2004.
The Mastery system for World of Warcraft was first announced during BlizzCon 2009. It was finally added to World of Warcraft in late 2010. The Mastery system affects the talent level of characters based on their favorite weapons.
You can not take away time from your World of Warcraft Battlenet account once it has been added.
Items do have sockets in world of warcraft. They were added in The Burning Crusade expansion and you need a jewelcrafter to cut gems for the sockets.
Voice chat was added in patch 2.3 with zul'aman.
According to Mmo-champion: "Added Cataclysm release date: December 7th"
Ok, in the original, World of Warcraft, they had 8 races, 2 continents, 9 classes, and you could reach level 60. In World of Warcraft, the Burning Cruscade, they added 2 races, the outland where you can use new flight mounts, and adds the ability to reach level 70. There were still 9 classes. They also added Jewelcrafting, and Inscription. Getting wow BC I believe also added the ability to go to the Arena. In World of Warcraft, Wrath of The Lich King, they added Northrend, where you can also use flight mounts. The max Level is now available, at level 80. The newest, and first heroric class, the Death Knight, was added, and you need a level 55 character to make one. You can access Wintergrasp, and form arena teams. Reaching level 80 allows you to send armor to lower levels (again I think) and easier to make money. In World of Warcraft, Cataclysm, not released, the max Level will be level 85. Talents will be greatly changed, 2 new races will come, and armor will greatly change.
Because Blizzard has not added them to the game as of yet. It is possible that they will be added in a future patch. You can email or start a topic in the forums asking if they can be put in the game.
That is correct, there is only one World of Warcraft. However it has two, soon to be three, expansions (additional content added to the game). The expansions are called Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm (not released yet, in beta).
The latest expansion added the ability to play as a Pandaren character. The pandaren sort of look like pandas.
I added a link below to the website.
Sorry, but you cannot get free world of warcraft membership ANYWHERE. World of Warcraft charges about $14.99a monthfor membership. Added to that is a $40 dollar first time fee for the software. Every two years a new expansion for it comes out which costes additional money, up to $40 each. However, you can revieve up to 7 free 10-day trials to it.
