30BC when the Romans took over
There is no Pharaoh now. Cleopatra was the last Pharaoh and her Ptolemaic Empire fell to the Romans over 2000 years ago. Since that point, there have been numerous kingdoms and hereditary dynasties in Egypt, but none of them have used the term Pharaoh officially. Some Egyptians mockingly called Hosni Mubarak (the former President of Egypt) a Pharaoh because of his dictatorial power, but this is not an official title.
The egyiptians thought a pharaoh was a god and they could really do whatever they wanted.
