A pspgo uses only digital tech and cannot play UMDs so they become obselete so i'd go with the psp-3000 series as it is usable for umds.Eventually!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the UMDs will become obselete as the other user said, I would go for the Go because then you won't have to buy a new psp in a few months/year. Anyway, I got a psp go and it seems quite good. I think the psp is better. the umd wont become obselete for awhile and games for the psp go on playstation network are about 40.00 usd

It all depends on what you like to play, and what you want to use them for. They both have very very good games, and different functions, so it is up to what you would like to do with them. For Multimedia purposes, I'd suggest the PSP, for popular games the NDS. But that doesn't mean that the PSP doesn't have popular games, just that the NDS has a larger variety of games.
