For the most part they have already stopped making the PS2 games except when they make a PS2 version along with a group of games for most of the other consoles. I do not know when the last PS2 exclusive was made, but I have not found one in 2011. Most Game Developers have stopped even these concurrent releases for the PS2
They have a vast surplus of new PS2 titles filling the retail and wholesale locations and they might never be completely sold out of new PS2 games even if they are leftover from 2008 through 2010 releases.
The supply of used PS2 games is so great that S/H at Ebay is often higher than the individual games selling price and lot sales are common.
They are not going to stop making ps2 games because not all people can afford the ps3 or wii or Xbox 360
When stores are no longer willing to stock them and would rather put something else like more PS3 game titles in there place

∙ 12y agoThe have virtually stopped making any PS2 exclusive games and only still make a PS2 version for a few sports games along with the other platforms being released when they release the PS2 game. They are really only adding a PS2 version to the release and recently less have been doing so. They still may continue to reissue games already produced. There is no shortage of new games available for sale millions are available in new condition and there are over 1.51 billion used copies of PS2 titles already sold for the 151 million PS2s that have been sold. There just are fewer newly developed PS2 titles than ever before.

FIFA Soccer 12 for the PS2 was released on September 27 2011 so at least one game is still being released for the system even if WWE 12 choose not to release a PS2 game for the new series
