Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays any where in the world and that includes Afghanistan. They may greet the person and say have a beautiful day or maybe say aren't you thankful Jehovah let you live another year and woke you up one more day.

Canada has Thanksgiving (2nd Monday in October), the USA has Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November), but no other countries have a National Day of Thanksgiving. Not even Australia. The Canadian and American troops located in Afghanistan do have a celebration to remember the day, but the people of Afghanistan do not have a Thanksgiving Day.
Afghanistan is an Islamic country so they don't celebrate Christmas most of them haven't even heard of Christianity they are kind of isolated from the rest of the world
We celebrate by wearing a poppy and attending memorial Services normally held by a monument honouring the fallen soldiers of the First and Second WW also, the Korean and the Afghanistan wars.
It depends on what country you live in. For Americans, it's the forth of July, Mexico celebrates Cinco de Mayo, or May the fifth.
