Enid Blyton wrote a series of books about 'The Faraway Tree' where a group of friends climbed to the top of a magical tree and with the magical beings who lived in the tree, went to see which world was passing over the top of the tree - they could only stay a short while or the magic land would move on and their route back to their home would be lost. These were beautiful stories to share with children. There were magic lands, the land of sweets, topsy turvy land, the land of birthdays ...
The original Riebli School was built in 1907, by John B. Riebli. John was a Swiss immigrant who purchased land in 1905 along Mark West Creek. There were six children in his family and the schoolhouses in the area were too far away for his children to attend. He donated land for a schoolhouse and schoolyard and the school took his name. It opened with 27 students in one room including the Riebli children. My sincere thanks to An8thg for the earnest research for this question.
