No, there are birds that stay in a particular area year round (sedentary populations) and there are birds that migrate usually due to a change in the weather.

AnswerMost birds who fly South do so during Winter in the North which is Summer in the South. They do this because birds do not have a thick coat like other animals, who hibernate, so they fly South to stay warm! AnswerI disagree. While some birds may not be equipped for cold weather, the primary reason for migration is food, not warmth. Food supplies become limited during the winter in extreme latitudes, so birds migrate towards the equator in search of food. Conversely, insect populations sky-rocket during the summer months when birds return to their natural habitats. This cycle repeats yearly so there not fat birds.

Because it gets too cold for them in northern regions in the winter. They fly south to get closer to the equator where it is much warmer and there is an abundant source of food and where they can live normally as they would in Spring or Summer.

All migrating birds travel at the same times. Their patterns are based on the weather and change every years as the weather changes every year. You're looking at mid-fall (October)

Many do. Ducks, geese, swans, finches, some thrushes, some hawks, cranes, just too many to mention here.
