Cats don't teethe but kittens do! Kittens start to get their milk teeth when they are still feeding from their mother, around three to six weeks old. Eventually, they will start chewing the mothers breasts, instead of them sucking, which hurts the mum and she would normally stop feeding them because of the pain. This is the best time to start to introduce them to kitten food. I would recommend mushing up wet food and also giving them soft toys to chew on.
At around four to seven months, these baby teeth will be replaced by the cat's adult teeth.

∙ 13y agoMeat with specially formulated kitten milk to soften it up; it is good for strength and all that good stuff. You could also try a little wet kitten food and mix it in with a bit of water or kitten milk until the kittens become confident with more solid food.
